Time for bed

“It’s time for bed.” He smiles into my eyes;
Then, rising, picking up the empty glasses,
He slowly strokes my shoulders as he passes.
The bed: where Aphrodite ardent lies;
I know what’s coming. With his warm caress,
Not his, but truly Aphrodite’s hands
Will make me give myself to her demands.
I want this now! I’m aching to undress,
To open eve’ry inch upon my skin,
To spread my limbs to every tingling touch,
Electric, till one gasping final clutch
Will make me ask what heaven I am in.
So, as I move towards the bed to lie,
There is an answ’ring smile here in my eye.
