Life lessons
When I was just a little lad
My teachers said to me
“If you can pass all these exams,
Your life will golden be.”
I went to university.
The lecturers all said
“Please cram as much of learning as
Will fit inside your head.”
I got a job. My manager
Would look at me and say
“Work long and hard, and then you’ll find
Success will come your way.”
The years drew on, and every day
Someone would come along
And say “It’s jam tomorrow, mate,
Just stay where you belong.”
So learn this wisdom, youngsters all:
Enjoy the summer sun.
Don’t waste your time in dreary slog –
Get out, and have some fun!
