Dishcloth

The dishcloth tries hard to do well
A lifetime of tepid suds and fraying threads

Rough hands grab it
Scrub hard
Squeeze everything out
Then fling it aside

Discarded?

I don’t know
Whether I am the cloth
Or the hands
